Max is a whole 10 months old today! Only 2 months until our sweet baby boy turns one year old. I think I might cry!
Check out what Max has been up to this past month:
Eating: You eat everything! No, really!!! You are eating basically anything we eat these days. You have tried chicken nuggets, grilled chicken, green beans, poppy seed chicken, Mexican rice, re-fried beans, taco meat (very, very mild), pizza, and a whole host of other things that I have forgotten :) You LOVE food! Lately you are eating (3) meals a day and 1-2 snacks. Yesterday you ate 2 slices of cheese pizza for dinner. And today you ate a whole peanut butter sandwich and 1/2 of a huge banana. I think you have hit a growth spurt. You take 2-3 bottles of formula a day and 1-2 bottles of watered down juice. And, you drink ice water with your meals and in between. You seem to be weening yourself from formula & the bottle! Yay!
Sleeping: You are still a wonderful sleeper! You go down for the night at around 6:30 and wake up between 5-6:30 a.m. Lately, you have only been taking (1) 1-1.5 hour nap, but that might need to change because you get a bit cranky in the evening before dinner time.
Activity: You are into EVERYTHING! You are so curious. You cruise around everything and will even squat down and stand back up without holding on to anything. I have a feeling you will be walking before you turn 11 months old ;) You love going to our neighborhood pool. And just this weekend, you were jumping off of the side and went all the way under the water! Yay! You also enjoy going down the slide and into the water (with our help of course). You would rather be outside than anywhere else. Even in this scorching heat! You get so excited when we take you to one of the doors and cry if we walk away and don't go outside. You love going for stroller rides in the evening. You also love swinging in your swing on the back patio.
Misc.: You are going to be quite the talker! You say all kinds of vowels and consonant combinations. And, when you here Jasper bark you always say "dah." Which, of course, we know means dog! You have started fluctuating your "words." So, it sounds like you are carrying on a conversation with us. You point at everything. You are starting to give kisses now. And, it is just the sweetest thing. I LOVE your sweet slobbery baby kisses. You love to be read to and you love to read too. You are starting to test our limits when we tell you not to do something. We know you understand what "no" means, but sometimes you like to see if we are serious when we tell you no ;) Just another way you are learning!
We love you to the moon and back Maxwell Miles! We are so blessed to call you ours.
