Christmas Morning
This was our last Christmas as a family of three!!!
We had a wonderful Christmas celebrating with family and friends.
Being that Max is nearly 1 1/2 years old and that next Christmas we will have two little bundles of joy,
we really put a lot of thought into how we wanted Christmas to look each year for our little family.
What traditions will we practice each year? How will we make sure that Jesus is at the center of our Christmas celebrations each year? How will we handle gift giving, so that it does not get out of control?
Although some of these things will sort themselves out each Christmas, we did decide that we would give the children (3) gifts/categories of gifts each Christmas. We will follow the gift-giving of the Three Wise Men: wants, needs, and educational. This will also help us to keep Christ at the center of our Christmas festivities.
Some other traditions that I would like to follow include: Christmas p.j.'s for the whole family (Daniel's personal favorite! Haha!); attending Christmas Eve service at our Church; looking at Christmas lights together as a family...in our p.j.'s of course; reading the Christmas Story to our kiddos each Christmas Eve; and making an Advent Calender each year.
Below is a plethora of pictures from our Christmas celebration(s)!
Cookies for Santa!
Time for bed so that Santa can come! Yippee!
Santa came!!!
(Watching A Christmas Story on TBS is a MUST on Christmas morning! Ha!)
Yay for bins for organizing!
It's sooo hard to wake up...
I'm ready to see what Santa brought me though!
This is Max's tree in his room!
Woohoo!!!
Max's very own Red Rocking Horse
He was not too sure about it...it's too early to be riding a horsey!
Max was such a blast this Christmas. He was super excited about everything!
He learned how to say "Ho, Ho, Ho!" just like Santa!
Cutest.Thing.Ever.
Daniel had to work Christmas morning, so we had to wait on him to get home to do our little family Christmas. We just covered what Santa brought up with a huge blanket until Daniel got home!
(That may get a little more difficult to do in the coming years...especially with TWO curious little ones!!!)
And, then we were off to Searcy to celebrate with Daniel's Mom & the rest of the gang!
Christmas with Family
Aunt Erica helping Max jump on Cousin Eliza's new trampoline!
It was a long day! Sweet baby sleeping.
It is a rarity that we get to see Max asleep!!!
Presh!
The day after Christmas we celebrated with my family. We went to my Mom's house along with both my grandmas, my brother & the twins, and my Uncle Chuck and cousin Ashley.
I love this little jon-jon!
Max was super fascinated with the bubble machine that my nephews have.
He was not very interested in his presents after the bubble started!

A couple of weekends before Christmas Day we celebrated Christmas with Daniel's Dad in Searcy.
(This is so out of chronological order, and it really bothers me, but I didn't want to mess with rearranging ALL these pictures! So, we will just have to deal! Ha!)
Max LOVES him some books!
Don't tell his Daddy, but he may love pink cars even more ;)
Eliza got a pink Barbie car for Christmas & Max wanted it!
Here he is going for the steal! Haha!
Cutie-patootie!
Max is definitely a gift that keeps on giving!
We LOVE him more than words can describe.
Christmas WAS wonderful this year--the best yet!
